It’s 2023! That means it’s Wellness month over here at Infinite CBD. That also means all Wellness products are 20% off all month long. This week, we’re sharing 5 Wellness Tips to help you center yourself and start taking your mental and physical health seriously. We’ll also take a look at how one defines Wellness. The world can feel overwhelming right now. When our personal and work lives become hectic, we tend to put ourselves last. That is obviously not the best for our own well-being. In order to reach peak performance and health we need to be able to address our Wellness. Let’s get into it!
What is Wellness?
The definition of Wellness is the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal. That second part of the definition is important. We need to be actively seeking a goal. Having a goal is probably the most significant step in creating an overall healthy lifestyle. Let’s be honest, goals aren’t always fun. We know this. However, we also know that no one is perfect. We must do everything possible to reach that goal while knowing that we will have setbacks along the way. Always be honest with yourself. Learn from your mistakes and always be pushing forward. How do we bring Wellness into our everyday lives? Our tips today include the topics of having a goal, making it personal, always remembering your mental health, and using supplements when needed. What does that all mean? We’ll dissect each tip next.
Wellness Goal Tips
As stated above, give yourself a goal. Make sure to measure benchmarks and create a journal to let yourself know how you feel emotionally and physically. Having a goal in general tends to bring happiness to one’s life. According to Positive Psychology, “Setting goals helps trigger new behaviors, helps guides your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life. Goals also help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can’t manage what you don’t measure and you can’t improve upon something that you don’t properly manage. Setting goals can help you do all of that and more.” This makes a lot of sense. If we just think of a thought and let it go off into the ether, there’s not much that can be done. By defining a Wellness goal you now have something to attain and reach.
Make it Personal
In your Wellness journey, you may find yourself needlessly comparing yourself to others. Don’t! Your Wellness journey is your and yours alone. When measuring success in your Wellness journey, compare yourself to yourself, not to others. As always with any new journey, start small. Take baby steps when trying to improve your Wellness. Having a goal will help this as well. Set realistic goals for yourself that you can reach everyday. Your Wellness journey starts and ends with you. And remember, physical health isn’t the only consideration when it comes to Wellness. Wellness is a holistic approach to take your body and your mind into consideration while following your Wellness journey.
Remember Your Mental Health is part of Wellness
Mental health is a relatively new concept in the span of the world’s history. According to MentalHealth.gov, “Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.” A lot of times, when people try to better themselves a lot of times we start physically. This totally works and endorphins from exercising will definitely make you happier. That being said, you also have to be in a good place mentally to start this process. Wellness is about our health as a whole, try not to forget about where your head is during your Wellness process. Again, Wellness is in essence a holistic idea, meaning we look at the body as a whole, compared to jus tone aspect of health.
